Book-club
We are only doing one book-club this term and making it a special opportunity for parents to orders books for Christmas. If you would like to order books without your child know send an email to Peta O'Flynn by Wednesday November 3rd - her email address is available on the handout that came with the catalogues or you can check with me for the details.
Normal orders through your child are also due on Wednesday November 3rd to the class teacher.
Stocktake!
What does this mean for you...
- Students need to get all overdue books back by the end of week 6 Friday 19th November!
- Any lost books need to be paid for -refunds will be given for those that are subsequently found during stocktake (I have given one refund this year)!
I am happy to look on the shelves for "lost" books in case they have been returned and not recorded on the computer - occasionally this happens - children think they are being helpful putting them back - but forget they need to be scanned first!!
Most books turn up at home -- even when the child has sworn they never borrowed that book!!
Already I have had a number of books brought back, some even from last year! Thanks you :)
So if your child's book is "lost" have them start looking today :)
Places I suggest to look:
- under the bed
- on the bookshelf
- in the cupboard
- behind their study desk
- behind/under the lounge
- at grandma's, aunty's, cousins......
Really just get them to look EVERYWHERE!
